How do I set out my paints?

It can help with colour mixing if you set out your paints in a logical way on your palette.

This Knowledge Base video shows you how Anna sets out her paints and why.

Anna sets out her paints following the Munsell Colour Wheel.

Anna allows her paints to dry. A wet paintbrush will pick up the colour from the dried paints.

This diagram shows how the paints relate to the Munsell Colour Wheel:

Here's how that tranlates onto her square palette:

And here's a the square palette again with the labels beside the paint colours:

Note that on her square palette, Anna has Winsor Lemon twice - one for using with green/blue colours and one for using with more red/purple colours.

In the palette with individual wells that Anna's started using more recently, there's only space for Winsor Lemon to feature once so she just takes extra care not to contaminate the yellow paint with other colours when she's colour mixing.
