Getting started: Part 3

5. Begin with a solid foundation

Anna's created the Realistic Watercolour 101 course to be a comprehensive induction to her painting technique and the concepts.

It’s a springboard to the other tutorials and courses, which build on what you’ll learn in this course.

So if you want to lay down a solid foundation for your learning, Anna recommends you begin by taking Realistic Watercolour 101.

We recommend spending 4 hours a week on this course.

If you can manage that, you can expect it to take around 6-8 weeks to complete.

But of course, you can work at the pace that suits you. Anna used to do 30 minutes every morning when she started painting. Do that consistently and you’re doing 3.5 hours a week without eating into your regular activities.

Are you waiting for supplies but just want to get stuck in right now?

You can find minimal-supplies tutorials which you can do with just a pencil and paper, or one colour of paint. Have a look…
