How to find Events in the Calendar

You can use the Events page to:

  • Join the Zoom Room anytime to see who's painting right now and create alongside them
  • Browse the calendar to see when other members are planning to be in the Zoom Room so you can join them
  • Set up your own real-time meet ups with other members, either on Zoom or face to face.

Here's how to find events others have planned:

To browse what's already in there:

Go to the Events page

The 'List' option is the default, and allows you to scroll through and see everything, in chronological order. You can click on 'Next Events' to browse your way through the list. If you can't click 'Next Events', you've viewed them all.

You can change the 'List' option to 'Day' if you want to see what's happening today, 'Week' if you'd like to plan your week, and 'Month' to see what's planned for the month (but be aware that more events could be added anytime, so it's worth checking more regularly or keeping an eye on the weekly email to stay up to date).

To search for events:

The Events page has a good search feature, so you can try searching for anything you're interested in:

Remember that if you can't find events at a time to suit you, you can add your own to the calendar.

When you find events you want to join:

You can just turn up. But to help you make sure you do that:

1. Make a note of the start time where you are - which is displayed above the event name. Note that in some other places, the start time is displayed in the organiser's time zone.

2. Click on the event name (pink text). This will take you to a new page with the event details. The time shown here will be in the organiser's time zone - but you've made a note of the start time for you.

3. You can add the event to your personal calendar by clicking 'Add to calendar' and selecting an option and then following the prompts. IMPORTANT NOTE: you'll need to adjust the start time in your calendar to the start time in YOUR time zone, as the software automatically defaults to the organiser's time zone. Our IT team is exploring a fix for this.

When the time of the session come around, you can join it by hitting the 'Open Zoom Room' button:
